With many legal services organizations now having comprehensive language access policies in place, the task of good implementation, monitoring effectiveness, and examining emerging needs can be challenging. This program will provide practical tools to using Census information and other non-traditional data sources to understand what language needs exist in your service areas and constituencies. Panelists will also discuss strategies for meeting the language access needs of clients who speak less common and emerging languages (e.g., new immigrant communities, refugees, indigenous language speakers).
